1 Jawan martyred, four injured in Sunjwan terrorist attack ahead of PM Modi’s visit

Jammu: The terrorists attacked a bus carrying 15 CISF personnel on duty near Chadha camp in Jammu at around 4.15 am today.

A CISF official said that one ASI of the CISF was killed and two others were injured during the operation. According to the information received, these jawans were going to help security forces in Sunjwan area as an army operation was underway there.

The security forces were getting information that two days before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, terrorists wanted to carry out a major attack in Jammu city.

Following this information, since Thursday evening, the Jammu Police along with army and paramilitary forces launched search operations in several parts of the city. The search operation continued till the wee hours of Friday and during the same operation, terrorists started firing on a bus carrying CISF personnel in Bhatindi area of Jammu.

During the operation, one ASI SP Patel was martyred and five got injured. The operation went on overnight and a short while ago, both the terrorists were killed. Both of them were associated with jaish-e-mohammed and their motive was to attack the camp of a security force. But even before that, our soldiers killed it, said a senior officer.
