Chandigarh: BSF has arrested a smuggler along with two packets of heroin alongside India-Pakistan border today.
The heroin in the packets is said to be more than one kilogram which is worth crores of rupees in the international market, sources said.
According to the information received, accused Dilbagh Singh went beyond the wires and his aide O.P. Ratan was picking up packets of heroin from pillar near the border. He has been arrested by the farmer guard cell of the BSF.
The heroin was reportedly dropped by Pakistani smugglers through a drone. The patrolling continued till late in the evening alongside border at Ratan checkpost.
