Kannauj (Uttar Pradesh): A 12-year-old girl was found lying in a pool of blood under suspicious circumstances in the government guest house complex in Tirwa area of Kannauj district.
The girl, a resident of a village under Tirva police station area, had left home on Sunday to buy a golak but did not return home. On this, her family members started looking for her. On Sunday night, when the guard of the government guest house in Tirwa area found the girl lying in a pool of blood, the police were called, police said.
Police post in-charge Manoj Pandey, who rushed to the spot, rushed the girl to a hospital from where she was referred to Kanpur for better treatment. CCTV cameras revealed that a youth was talking to the girl but he could not be identified.
A medical examination of the girl is being done and after the report comes, it will be confirmed whether she was raped or not.
