1,417 civilians killed, 2,038 injured in Russia-Ukraine war so far

Kyiv: It’s been more than a month since the Russo-Ukraine crisis is underway. Hundreds of soldiers and innocent civilians have so far lost their lives in this war.

According to the UN’s human rights agency, 1,417 civilians have been killed and 2,038 injured in Ukraine so far. It does not have the figures for Mariupol and Irpine.

The UN agency believes the figure could be higher in Mariupol, Irpine, Izium and Volnovaka. Bodies of 410 civilians have been pulled out of the Kiev Oblast after Russia’s exist.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said about 150,000 people were stranded in Mariupol. He said it was not possible to reach an agreement with russian occupation forces regarding humanitarian corridors outside Mariupol, nor to bring in humanitarian aid.
