Ontario: The ontario provincial police said that three people were killed in a fire at the New Tecumseth home on Boxing Day.
Emergency staff were called in at 4:00 p.m. after a fire broke out in a house located on Pine Hills Court, north of Highway 9 and west of Tottenham Road, a statement issued by Notavsaga OPP officials said.
The statement said the initial call was for a well being check, but emergency staff at the scene found the house engulfed in fire.
While two persons were found dead inside the house, the third was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
Investigators said they had no information yet on how the three men died.
Meanwhile, OPP forensic and criminal investigation branch officials, as well as investigators from the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal and the province’s chief coroner’s office, are investigating the deaths.
