New York: Four people have been reported killed so far in a shooting during a birthday party in the US, while many people have also been seriously injured in this incident. Television station WRBL reported heavy police activity around a building in Dadville, Alabama, and commotion near the scene early Sunday, according to US media.
Local media and witnesses said several injured people were taken to local hospitals for treatment, most of them teenagers. According to a WRBL report, a preliminary investigation into the case revealed that the shooting took place at around 10:30 pm local time on Saturday at a teenager’s birthday party.
A few days ago, there was an incident of firing in a school in America. Nashville police said a 28-year-old female shooter had been killed. However, the reason behind the incident has not yet been disclosed by the police. According to officials and media reports, six people, including three children, were killed in the incident. The school where the incident took place was a pre-school. All children under 12 years of age.
Officials had said that the first emergency call was received around 10:00 am. Within 15 minutes, officers arrived at the scene and the shooter was killed by security forces. The motive behind the incident was being investigated, the officer had said.
