4 states, Delhi have Omicron cases in India, highest number in Maharashtra

Mumbai: The Omicron strain of the coronavirus is spreading fast in India as well as the world.

As per authorities, India has recorded 23 cases after two more people were confirmed infected with this new strain in Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai.

According to BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), a 37-year-old man, who landed in Mumbai from South Africa on November 25, was found infected with Omicron along with one of his contacts – a 36-year-old female friend who arrived in the city from the US the same day.
