5,000 people including 210 children killed in siege of Ukraine’s Mariupol: Mayor

Andriivka (Ukraine): The mayor of the besieged port city of Mariupol claimed that over 5,000 civilians of which 210 were children killed here as Ukraine authorities are collecting evidence after Russia’s atrocities on the ruined outskirts of Kyiv and braced.

Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko said that Russian forces attacked hospitals including where 50 people burnt to death.

“90% city’s infrastructure has been destroyed and attack by Russia on the strategic southern city on the Sea of Azov led to cut off food, water, fuel and medicine and pulverized homes and businesses,” he said.

Earlier, in his nightly address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued warning to Russia military is building up its forces for continue offensive attack in the east. He said Ukraine, too, was preparing for battle as this is their homeland and to protect their future, they won’t give them up.
