India achieves 100 crore Covid vaccine dose landmark, PM says India scripts history

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the country has created history as the cumulative Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country surpassed the 100-crore milestone.

PM called the mammoth vaccination drive in the country as a triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians.

“India scripts history. We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Congrats India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses and all those who worked to achieve this feat,” PM Modi tweeted.

PM also visited the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi and interacted with healthcare workers as well as with people receiving the Covid vaccine.

“India is now a strong “protective shield” of 100 crore vaccine doses to combat the biggest pandemic in 100 years. The October 21, 2021, has been recorded in history as country has crossed the 100 crore vaccine doses,” PM added.
