With ‘Jai Shri Ram’ Chants, Gurgaon School’s Christmas Carnival Disrupted

New Delhi: A group of men led by a politician on Thursday barged into a Gurgaon private school and disrupted a Christmas carnival.

While raising slogans of “Jai Shri Ram and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai, they stopped the Christian community to carry on their rituals on the eve of Christmas.

Videos of the incident, which now has gone viral on social media, show that a man addressing the students and staff. “Christianity is not acceptable here. We are not disrespecting Jesus Christ but we want to tell the future generations to remember him if they want and do it legally but not fall for attempts of religious conversion. It can destroy Indian culture,” he said in the video clip.

The incident was reported in Narhera village in Gurgaon’s Pataudi town.

Narendra Singh Pahari, who had contested assembly elections from the Pataudi constituency as an independent candidate, had reportedly gathered his supporters and went to the school on hearing about the carnival.

Meanwhile, local police initiated a probe into the matter but no case has been registered into the matter so far.
