India revises travel guidelines for international passengers

New Delhi: Amid rising Omicron variant of Covid-19 across the world, the Indian government on Friday revised its travel guidelines for international passengers.

According to the fresh directions, it is mandatory for all international travelers to undergo a 7-day quarantine.

The revised guidelines will come into effect from January 11 onwards.

Also, passengers traveling from specified countries at risk must submit a sample for post-arrival Covid test at the point of arrival which will be self-paid in nature.

All international travellers to India will need to register on Air Suvidha portal, and self-declare all their travel details; upload the negative report of COVID-19 that has been obtained within 72 hours; declare its authenticity; and submit an undertaking that they would abide by the decision of appropriate authority to undergo quarantine.
