Ireland scraps most COVID-19 restrictions in wake of ‘Omicron storm’

New Delhi: Considering decline in the Covid-19 cases fuelled by Omicron variant, Ireland is set to scrap most of its restrictions in the country.

Prime Minister Micheal Martin said that there is a swift decline in incidence rate of Covid-19 in Europe last week and country has speeded up administering booster dose, which led to keep the number of seriously ill people well below the previous peak.

He said during a television telecast that Ireland to drop almost all Covid restrictions.
