Punjab makes wearing of face masks in public places mandatory

Chandigarh: The Punjab government on Thursday advised people to wear face masks at crowded places amid a surge in coronavirus cases in some of the states.

The move came after there was a little spike in the Covid-19 cases across the country as compared to previous weeks.

The country has recorded over 2000 cases today against average 1000 cases every day for past one week.

Similarly, around 50 positive Covid-19 cases were reported in the Punjab and the government said that wearing of masks should be ensured in closed environments such as in buses, trains, aircrafts, cinema halls, shopping malls, departmental stores, offices and crowded places.
