New Delhi: The country’s first private train flagged off from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, which was launched under the Bharat Gaurav Scheme. The train reached Sai Nagar in Shirdi on Thursday.
According to Southern Railway’s Public Relations Officer (CPRO) B Guggenson, the 20-coach special train can accommodate 1,500 passengers.
The most special thing about this train is that its fare is also equal to the price of train tickets of Indian Railways. In the first journey of this private train, 1100 passengers left For Shirdi from Coimbatore at 6 pm on Tuesday. The train reached Shirdi at 7.25 am on Thursday. After a day’s halt here, the train will leave for Coimbatore North on Saturday, June 18. According to the information received from southern railway, the stoppages of the train before reaching Shirdi include Tirupur, Erode, Salem Jolarpet, Bengaluru Yelahanka, Dharmavara, Mantralaam Road and Wadi stations.
Not only this, arrangements for special VIP darshan at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple have also been included in this journey. During this journey, the train will stop for five hours at The Mantralayam Road station for the darshan of the Mantralaya Temple for the passengers. At the same time, the Railway Ministry said that during this journey, the train will pass through many places of historical importance, which will also give passengers a chance to get acquainted with india’s cultural heritage.
