Paris: A group of lawmakers belonging to President Emmanuel Macron’s party will move a proposal to bring a bill to include the right to abortion in the country’s constitution, two French lawmakers said today.

This will make it impossible to deprive of the right to have a voluntary abortion.

Paris PM Elisabeth Borne said that she is backing a parliamentary bill to add abortion rights to the country’s constitution, which is a move after US Supreme Court overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling that recognized a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion and legalized it nationwide.
