Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Hong Kong Cementing Beijing’s Control today

New Delhi: China’s President Xi Jinping would arrive in Hong Kong on Thursday on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the handover of Hong Kong to communist China. A grand ceremony is being organized on the occasion.

Security arrangements have been made ahead of Xi Jinping’s visit to Hong Kong. Parts of the city have been closed and some journalists have been barred from attending the ceremony. However, the officials have cited the corona epidemic and safety reasons for stopping the media.

 

First tour after Corona

Let us know that this will be Xi Jinping’s first visit out of the country after the corona wave in January 2020. Xinhua news agency reported that he would also attend the swearing-in ceremony of Hong Kong’s sixth-time government.

Government officials of the highest office accompanying Xi Jinping during the visit have been ordered to limit their social contacts, get daily PCR tests done.
