New Delhi: In cricket, the Future Tours Program from May 2023 to April 2027 has come out. The ICC released this FTP on Wednesday afternoon. According to this FTP, 777 international matches will be played between 12 big teams of the cricket world. In this, the Indian team (Team India) has got 138 matches.
In this FTP, only the number of matches under the bilateral series has been given.
Matches in tournaments like T20 and ODI World Cup, Tri-Series and Asia Cup have not been included in it. However, it has a schedule for these ICC events.
According to the FTP, the 12 member countries will play 173 Tests, 281 ODIs and 323 T20 matches as part of the bilateral series. India will play 38 Tests, 39 ODIs and 61 T20Is. The Indian team will play bilateral series against almost all major teams except Pakistan during this period.
In this FTP, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played between India and Australia has become 5 Test matches instead of 4. In December-January 2024-25, the Indian team will play a 5-match Test series in Australia. The Indian team will also play a 5-match Test series with England in this next FTP.
