Dubai: India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by five wickets in a thrilling Asia Cup encounter here today. India chased down the 148-run target set by Pakistan in 19.4 balls.
Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 33 runs for India. Ravindra Jadeja (35) and Virat Kohli (35) played an important role in India’s victory. Earlier, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took four wickets for Pakistan for 26 runs and Hardik Pandya took three wickets for 25 runs.
Mohammad Rizwan top-scored for Pakistan with 43 runs. India’s next match will be against Hong Kong on August 31.
