Chandigarh: The police has failed get any concrete clue on the fourth day over the escape of Deepak Tinu, an accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.

So far, it remains a mystery for the police as to how Deepak Tinu has escaped from police custody and the investigation is underway. Dismissed Sub-Inspector Pritpal Singh is under the scanner for the escape of Deepak, whose police remand has been taken by the Mansa police till October 7.

According to the information, he made several new revelations during the interrogation. Pritpal has met gangster Deepak’s girlfriend several times and has also sent money to her account 12 times. The gangster’s girlfriend is posted as a woman constable in the wireless wing.

According to sources, Deepak Tinu lured sub-inspector Pritpal Singh into telling him about the illegal weapons and giving more information. Pritpal took Tinu out without informing senior officer.

Police have also recovered two illegal weapons from Pritpal’s house. Apart from this, the suspended Pritpal admitted that gangster Deepak had cheated with him and he took him out to arrange his meeting with his girlfriend, sources said.

Meanwhile, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has formed a four-member SIT to arrest Tinu and further investigate the matter.
