London: Argentine football legend Lionel Messi shared his retirement plans. Ahead of next month’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Messi has announced that this will be his last World Cup.

Messi has scored 90 goals in 164 appearances for Argentina and is one of the most international goalscorers.

Messi is third in the list of top players behind Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo (117) and Ali Dei (109). The 35-year-old will play his fifth World Cup of his career in this global tournament to be held in November and during the FIFA World Cup, Messi will be eyeing his team to win the World Cup trophy.

When asked if this will be your last World Cup, Messi replied, “Yes, yes.” “I have made the decision and am counting the days of the World Cup. I am a little nervous about it. I just wonder what’s going to happen. It will be the last time and it is in our minds how we will play there.”

He further said, “We can’t wait to get to Qatar and we’re also worried about how the World Cup will be like for us. We will do better.”
