Karnal: Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who is out on parole, has been holding an online satsang for the past few days, which has been attended by several leaders of the BJP’s Haryana unit.

The timing of the Dera chief’s stay out on parole is once again matching some election dates.

The 55-year-old Dera Sacha Sauda chief is performing an online satsang from the Dera’s Barnawa Ashram in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Deputy Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha Ranbir Gangwa was present at the meeting of Dera lovers in Hisar yesterday to listen to the online discourse.

During this time, he talked about his family’s closeness to the Dera chief. Earlier, Karnal Mayor Renu Bala along with some other BJP leaders attended an online satsang on Tuesday.

Interacting with the Dera chief during an online satsang, Gangwa said he was happy with the dera chief’s blessings. Renu Bala addressed the Dera chief as ‘Pita ji’ and said that the dera chief’s blessings should always be with him. He said that many years ago he had come to Karnal and gave the message of cleanliness which helped the city.

In the video of the program, he is heard saying, “In the future also, you should come to Karnal and once again give your message on cleanliness and give us your blessings.”

Meanwhile, questions are being raised on the parole being given to the Dera chief close to the elections as Haryana is going to hold a by-election to Adampur assembly constituency soon.
