CCI slaps Rs 936.44 crore fine on Google

New Delhi: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) today imposed a fine of Rs 936.44 crore on Google. The penalty has been imposed for trading illegally in connection with the Policies of the Play Store.

According to the CCI, Google has abused its position of dominance. The CCI has directed Google to stop illegal business activities.

The CCI said in a statement that it has directed Google to improve its functioning within a specified time frame.
