PM inspects spot in Morbi, enquires about the condition of injured in hospital

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited the site of the bridge accident in Morbi on Tuesday. During this time, he also talked to the officials about the day of the incident.

Before visiting the spot, he also held a high-level meeting regarding the accident.

This British-era bridge, which was opened after several months of repairs. It broke down last Sunday. More than 130 people, including 47 children, were killed in the incident.

According to the police, there were more than 500 people on board when the bridge broke. While the capacity of this bridge was to carry a load of only 125 people.

The bridge was opened after repairs by the Oreva company. Before opening this bridge, a fitness certificate was not taken from the administration.
