New Delhi: Shanghai’s Disney Resort has been closed for now in view of the rising cases of corona virus. When this was announced, all those present in the park were stopped there and told that they would not be allowed to go out until a Covid negative certificate was shown.

The resort said on Tuesday that at 11:39 a.m. local time it would immediately close the main theme park and surrounding areas, including its shopping street. The resort also said that the park will be closed until further notice is given to comply with the virus restrictions.

The Shanghai government said on its official WeChat account that the park was preventing people from entering or exiting and that all visitors inside the site would have to wait for their Covid test results before leaving. Anyone who visits the park from Thursday will need a Covid-19 test thrice in three days, it said.
