Sudhir Suri murder: Shiv Sena calls for Punjab bandh tomorrow

Chandigarh: Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri was shot dead outside Gopal mandir in Amritsar on Friday. Videos of the attack are also going viral. After the death of Sudhir Suri, there has been a huge protest among Shiv Sena workers.

One of the accused has been arrested by the police and the accused has been identified as Sandeep Singh Sunny. The police are interrogating the accused.

Supporters are alleging that the law and order situation in Punjab has completely deteriorated. Supporters have called for a punjab bandh on November 5. Supporters blocked the Delhi-Amritsar highway and raised slogans after Suri’s murder.

Sudhir Suri was sitting on a dharna over the dispute of the temple management. The attacker owns a garment shop there. He fired with his licensed .32 bore-revolver, some of which hit Suri and was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
