Jalandhar: The body of a youth was found in a red bag in a park outside Jalandhar railway station. The deceased is around 30 years old.
According to the railway police, around 6 am, someone spotted a red suitcase lying outside the station. He told the railway officials who called the police. A team of Government Railway Police took possession of the bag and sealed the area.
They also called a forensic investigation team to the spot, which pulled out the body from the bag.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suitcase was lying outside the railway station since Monday night. Police teams were checking CCTV cameras to identify the person who left the suitcase here.
In one of the footages, the youth can be seen leaving the suitcase and leaving the station. The matter is being investigated and the body has been sent for medical examination, police said.
