Ontario: Several warnings of heavy snowfall are still in place in parts of Southern Ontario and Sue St Mary’s. Several parts of the province continued to experience strong winds and heavy snow on Sunday.

Environment Canada had warned of heavy snow in parts of Barry, Peterborough, Muskoka, Gray-Bruce and Waterloo.

At many places, there was a forecast of up to 50 cm of snow. The weather agency had already warned of reduced visibility due to snowfall as well as strong winds.

The Highway Safety Division of the Ontario Provincial Police also received reports of accidents and vehicles falling into a ditch at several places. Due to the blizzard, there was also a power cut in many places. By 7:00 a.m., 1,900 customers of Hydro One were forced to live without electricity.
