Chandigarh: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami launched a nationwide signature campaign for the release of Sikh prisoners who have been languishing for a long time in various jails of India even after completing their sentences.

They launched the campaign after the ardas by Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Sri Anandpur Sahib.

On this occasion, Harjinder Singh Dhami said that they also held dharnas, submitted memorandums and protest marches several times for the release of Sikh prisoners, but there was no effect on the government.

He told the Sikh community and people from all religions should come along and make efforts for the release of the Sikh prisoners.
