Washington: The debate about the flying object shot down in the skies of America and Canada continues. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has said that the intelligence community also has no indication that the flying object that was shot down recently is part of China’s spy balloon operation.
He also expressed hope for talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Joe Biden said there was no solid evidence that they were spy balloons sent from China or that they were surveillance vehicles of another country.
Biden said, “The current assessment of the intelligence community is that these 3 objects were balloons, which were associated with private companies or institutions doing weather studies or other scientific research. We have no evidence that there has been a sudden increase in the number of flying objects in the sky. Now we are only partially seeing them more.”
US President Joe Biden also said that he hopes to talk with Chinese President Xi Jinping. We don’t want a new cold war with China. We will continue to talk with China. He said that he is not going to shoot down all-weather balloons seen in America, but will keep a close eye on spy balloons in the future.
“Make no mistake, if a flying object poses a threat to the safety of the American people, I will remove it. We will continue to take such decisions for the safety of the citizens of the country.”
The controversy deepened after the Chinese balloon was shot down in its airspace on February 4. China had clarified that it was a civil balloon.
