Chandigarh: The Supreme Court is likely to hear AAP’s plea seeking approval of the Punjab budget session today.

The Punjab government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against Governor B L Purohit for not approving the budget session.

In fact, CM Punjab Bhagwant Mann had written a request letter to Government BL Purohit for the approval of the Assembly budget session on March 3, but the Governor had cited the letter written to him by CM Mann on February 13 to think about the approval of the budget session after legal opinion.

Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit has termed the letter written to him by CM Punjab Bhagwant Mann as unconstitutional and defamatory. He has also said that he will take legal opinion in the matter and after that he will also respond to his letter.
