Sikh student attacked in British Columbia

Ottawa: A Sikh student from India was attacked by an unidentified group in The Canadian province of British Columbia. In the attack, the student’s turban was removed and he was caught from the cases and dragged away.

Gagandeep Singh (21) was beaten up on March 17 after he alighted from a bus near McCurry Road in Highway 97 and Kelona. Gagandeep was on his way home after shopping for groceries when his boys got into a scuffle on the bus.

The student sustained severe injuries on his ribs, mouth, arms and legs and was treated at a hospital.
