Chandigarh: An LOC has been issued against sacked AIG Rajjit Singh, who has been named in the drug case. According to the information received, Rajjit Singh’s phone is coming off.
At the same time, it has also been learned that Rajjit Singh is trying to flee abroad. Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered and an investigation has been initiated into the matter. Rajjit Singh is constantly being searched.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had sacked PPS officer and Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Rajjit Singh Hundal after a sealed report surfaced in the drug smuggling case. Besides being named in the drug smuggling case, the Chief Minister also directed the Vigilance Bureau to probe the assets earned from the drug smuggling.
Apart from this, there are serious allegations against the sacked AIG Rajjit in the drug case. Rajjit Singh was dismissed from service on April 17.
No senior police officer came to the rescue.
According to media reports, there was a stir in the Punjab Police after the Punjab and Haryana High Court sent the SIT reports to the government, but no senior police officer came to Rajjit Singh’s rescue.
