Toronto: As the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeaus has failed to get majority again Jagmeet Singh-led New Democratic Party (NDP) will play a crucial role in his Liberal government.

In the elections held on Monday, Trudeau’s ruling Liberal Party again ended up 14 seats short of the 170-mark in the 338-member House of Commons, therefore, NDP will again hold the balance of power as it increased its tally from 24 to 27.

Trudeau called the vote two years early with an aim to regain the majority in parliament, which he lost in 2019. He first took power in 2015.
