Chandigarh: Fulfilling its poll promise, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of Aam Aadmi Party today announced 300 units of free electricity for residents of Punjab with effect from July 1.
The move came after a month after AAP formed government in Punjab.
Two days back, CM Mann had announced that his government is going to do something big on Saturday and addressing the state today, he announced the waiver.
According to the a PSPCL official, There are 73.80 lakh households and nearly 84 per cent use less than 300 units power in the state.
