New Delhi: Two days after Aam Aadmi Party president Arvind Kejriwal’s roadshow in Himachal Pradesh, prominent leaders joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of BJP chief JP Nadda and union minister Anurag Thakur.

Political observers termed it a ‘surgical strike’ on AAP by BJP in poll-bound Himachal Pradesh, months before the state go for Assembly elections.

In a major blow to Kejriwal, AAP’s Himachal Pradesh president Anoop Kesari, general secretary (organisation) Satish Thakur, and its Una president Iqbal Singh joined the BJP at Nadda’s residence in the national capital.

Reacting to the development and BJP leaders claim that AAP is vanished in HP, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal said, “The people of the state have faith in the Aam Aadmi Party.”

“These people are not afraid of me, but from the people. The BJP people, if they had worked sincerely for the people, there would not have been so much worried. There would have been no need to change the CM, there would have been no need to fall at the feet of the tainted people of other parties. People trust AAP. AAP will give HP a hardcore, honest and patriotic government, “Kejriwal said in a tweet on Saturday.
