Moga: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced that the party will give Rs 1,000 per month to each woman in Punjab if voted to power in the 2022 Assembly polls.
Arvind Kejriwal Chief Minister of Delhi and also the national convener of the AAP said this while addressing a public meeting at Moga.
He said, “Today I want to make an announcement. Aam Aadmi Party will form the government in Punjab. We will transfer Rs 1,000 every month into the accounts of every woman who is more than 18 years old in the state. This will ease your financial troubles and women will be independent financial as they would not need to ask their husband for even small expenses,” he said.
He added that elderly women, who are beneficiaries of the state’s pension schemes, will continue to get their pension in addition to the Rs 1,000 promised by the AAP.
