Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced that its chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann, will contest the Punjab Assembly polls from the Dhuri assembly seat in his home turf of Sangrur.
Mann, two times MP also heads the AAP’s Punjab unit, before AAP on Tuesday announced him its CM face. He is sitting MP from Sangrur parliamentary constituency.
The Dhuri assembly seat is a strong hold of Congress and held this seat since 2012. Now, incumbent MLA Dalvinder Singh Khangura ‘Goldy’ is likely to give a tough fight to Mann in the upcoming polls, scheduled for February 20.
