New Delhi: Following closure of Ukrainian airspace after Russian military, an air India plane that took off Kyiv in Ukraine to bring back stranded Indians on Thursday returned back from the eastern European nation.
Air India departed from Delhi on Thursday morning, however, Ukrainian authorities issued notice to airmen announcing that aircraft within Ukraine are restricted due to potential hazard for civil aviation.
Due to this, Indian government decided to call back the Air India flight AI 1947 to Delhi.
The development came amid rising tensions in Ukraine after Russia announced a military operation in the Ukraine.
