Chandigarh: The Congress in Haryana has suffered a major setback on Saturday. The Party candidate Ajay Maken has lost to BJP-backed independent candidate Kartikeya Sharma.
Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi played a big role in ajay Maken’s defeat. Due to cross voting by Kuldeep Bishnoi, Maken had to face defeat. At the same time, the Election Commission had cancelled one of the Congress votes.
According to the information, vote of Congress was rejected while Kuldeep Bishnoi, who is Congress MLA from Adampur, voted as per his inner conscience and did not vote for Congress nominee Ajay Maken.
