Chandigarh: The previous SAD-Congress governments were in cahoots with each other to patronise the perpetrators of dastardly acts like sacrilege for years.
AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang accused the Congress-Akali government and said that due to match-fixing of both the parties, the whole Punjab yearned for justice, but it was not delivered to the Sikhs and Punjabis by these nefarious leaders.
Kang said that after the formation of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in over three months governance, the Punjab government has fought this case vehemently in the court. Due to this, the court has quashed the plea today demanding cancellation of FIR in Behbal Kalan and to stop the investigation in the case.
He said that during the previous governments regime, the whole of Punjab had seen how the court had rejected the investigation report of the Kotkapura case, while this time when the accused filed a petition in the court in the Behbal Kalan case, the court upheld the government’s argument. This proves that the government is gingerly investigating and pursuing the matter.
He said that the before coming to power, AAP party had determined that there would be no laxity in the action against accused involved in the sacrilege and firing incidents. Today, it has been proved again that the AAP government does what it says, Kang added.
