Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday opposed the bail plea of Aryan Khan the son of superstar Shahrukh Khan.
Aryan was arrested in a cruise drugs case early this month.
NCB alleged that he was not just a consumer of drugs, but also involved in illicit drug trafficking. The agency told the court that Aryan and a woman named Pooja Dadlani, Shah Rukh Khan’s manager, were tampering with the evidence and witnesses in the case in an attempt to derail the investigation.
It claimed he was involved in drug trafficking and used to procure drugs from his friend Arbaaz Merchant, also an accused in the case.
A single bench of Justice N W Sambre is likely to take the plea for hearing later in the day.
Former Attorney General for India Mukul Rohatgi appeared for Aryan Khan in his bail plea before the Bombay high court on Tuesday and rejected claims of the NCB.
