Bathinda: Arvind Kejriwal vows to end ‘Jojo tax’

Bathinda: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that his party will end ‘Jojo tax’ after forming government in the state.

He was referring to finance minister Manpreet Badal’s brother-in-law Jaijeet Singh Johal. Annoyed over the statement, Johal tweeted, “Will be filing a defamation suit against Kejriwal. I know you are a wimp and will not accept an apology from you”.

Earlier, addressing the gathering of traders here, Kejriwal said that Punjab traders were living in fear and assured that after forming government in Punjab from April 1, 2022, AAP will take responsibility of ensuring the security of every trader.

He appealed to the business community to “become partners in running an honest AAP government in Punjab. Kejriwal also promised to clear the pending VAT refunds of traders and businessmen in three-four months
