Bharat Bandh: Security beefed up in states amid massive furore

New Delhi: In many states of the country, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, the youth continued to protest and express their displeasure over the Central government’s Agnipath scheme.

There have been violent demonstrations in many places. Government properties in Bihar have suffered a lot due to these protests. As a precautionary measure, the railways in Bihar on Monday decided not to run around 350 trains.

Internet services in 20 districts will also remain suspended on Monday.

Meanwhile, amid the opposition to the scheme, many organisations have now announced a Bharat Bandh today, security has been beefed up in the states.

Meanwhile, due to the Bharat Bandh on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway, there is a huge road jam. During this time, long queues of vehicles were seen.

 

Delhi: Train stopped

Indian Youth Congress workers have stopped the train at Delhi’s Shivaji Bridge railway station against the Agneepath scheme.

181 mail express and 348 passenger trains cancelled

Due to the Bharat Bandh, 181 mail express and 348 passenger trains have been cancelled. At the same time, 04 mail express and six passenger trains have been partially cancelled. The total number of trains affected due to the Bharat Bandh has gone up to 539.
