New Delhi: The BJP, which won a landslide victory in the Gujarat elections, has started the exercise of forming the government. Bhupendra Patel has been elected leader of the Gujarat BJP Legislature Party.
With this, the way has been cleared for him to become CM again. According to the information, Bhupendra Patel will take oath as chief minister on Monday. The name of Bhupendra Patel was approved by consensus at the BJP Legislature Party meeting in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Now Bhupendra Patel will meet the Governor and stake claim to form the government.
The swearing-in ceremony of the government has already been announced. Bhupendra Patel will come to Delhi this evening along with CR Patil. In Delhi, PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP president JP Nadda and organization general secretary BL Santosh will meet.
Along with inviting the oath-taking ceremony, discussions will also be held on the formation of the Gujarat Cabinet. The Gujarat cabinet will also be given a green signal by the central leadership.
On the occasion, Union Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, “Congratulations to Shri @Bhupendrapbjp ji on being elected as the Gujarat BJP Legislature Party Leader. He has risen from the grassroots to become the Chief Minister of Gujarat. I am confident that he will work towards taking Gujarat to greater glory in his second innings.”
