Bihar MLA spotted on train in undergarments, Booked

Bihar: After a video of the ruling JD(U)’MLA travelling in New Delhi-bound train in undergarments and quarrelling with co-passengers went viral, police have on Sunday registered a case against under various sections of the IPC besides the SC/ST Act.

A case was registered against MLA Gopal Mandal at a GRP police station in Ara on the complaint filed by a passenger Prahlad Paswan.

In his complaint, Paswan claimed that he was travelling in the same compartment of Tejas Express as the MLA and he raised his objection at legislator’s dressing when Mandal going towards the toilet in his vest and underpants.

He told the police that following this MLA and his cohorts thrashed him while making reference to his caste. They also robbed his some valuables including a finger ring, and forced him to drink water drawn from the lavatory tap.

Following this, GRP registered a zero FIR on the basis of Paswan’s complaint at New Delhi which was forwarded to authorities concerned here in Bihar.

The MLA represents the Gopalpur constituency of Bhagalpur district and he has so far not reacted to the various allegations made in the FIR.

The Video of the incident also went viral on social media and netizens criticizing MLA for his behavior and sought exemplary action against him.
