Bihar police arrested Chinese woman suspecting of spying on Dalai Lama

Patna: The Bihar Police has detained a Chinese woman from Bodh Gaya for allegedly spying on the Dalai Lama. The detained woman is being questioned by the police.

Earlier, police had said that a ‘sketch’ of Chinese woman Song Xiaolan has been released. The police had also shared details of the woman’s passport and visa with the media.

SSP Harpreet Kaur said that we are investigating the sketch and are also in talks with people associated with the hotel business of Bodh Gaya in Bihar. We are finding out where the woman stayed if she has come to Bodh Gaya.

Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama is on a month-long stay in Bodh Gaya. Along with this, a three-day discourse program of religious leader Dalai Lama is being organized at Bodh Gaya Kalachakra Ground. Security for the Dalai Lama has been further beefed up after the release of a sketch of a Chinese woman.
