Bodies found of kidnapped Punjabi family, including 8-month-old girl in US

California: The bodies of four Indian-origin people who were abducted in California, USA, have now been recovered today, California Sharif said. These 4 people include a girl child. The bodies of the kidnapped child, parents and uncle were recovered from an orchard, the California sheriff said.

Mersad County Sheriff Vern Warnke called it “terrible and scary”. He said that the bodies of these people were recovered from the local area. Earlier, US officials had said that these four people were forcibly kidnapped from 800 blocks of South Highway 59 on October 3. Authorities did not name any suspects at the time. After this, the police detained a 48-year-old man.

The family belonged to Hoshiarpur in Punjab

According to the information, the family was a resident of Harsi, a village near Tanda in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. These people had their own transport business in America. Those abducted and killed are Jasdeep Singh, 36, Jasdeep’s wife Jasleen Kaur, 27, their daughter Aruhi Dheri, eight months old, and Amandeep Singh, 39.

 

Car burnt and suspected of using ATM

The family’s car was found burnt late on Monday night. Apart from this, it was also found that the ATM of one of these people who were kidnapped has also been used. The suspect, who used the ATM, was then taken into custody. After being detained, Jesus Manuel Salgardo tried to commit suicide.
