Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s sister joins Congress, to contest poll from Moga

Moga: Chief Minister Mr Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday welcomed the Social Worker & Actor Sonu Sood’s sister, Malvika Sood into the party fold here at Moga district.

She would contest the upcoming polls from Moga on the party symbol, hints CM said.

Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and Sonu Sood among other Congress leaders were present on the occasion.

Addressing the media persons here, Channi said that it is a major boost to the Congress party and her joining will strengthen the party. “Sood family has been working industriously for the underprivileged people especially the Sonu Sood, who had done tremendous work during the Covid crisis and also earned rich praise across the globe,” CM added.

Thanking the Congress party and CM Channi, Malvika Sood said that Congress is the oldest party of the country and she feels blessed to become a member of this great party.

Meanwhile, Sidhu also praised the Sood family and said that there is no permanent name and fame than the endeavour to give happiness to mankind. Chairs don’t grace people but people grace those chairs.
