London: Britain’s longest reigning Queen Elizabeth II has died at the age of 96. She breathed her last at Balmoral Castle. In this regard, the Royal Family has confirmed by tweeting. “The Queen passed away peacefully in Balmoral this afternoon. The King and the Queen Consort will be in Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

This evening, Buckingham Palace said Queen Elizabeth II was under medical care as doctors raised concerns about her health.

The 96-year-old queen had recovered from October last year after falling ill several times. But due to this, there were problems in walking and standing.

After being advised rest on Wednesday, the Queen did not attend a pre-planned meeting with her senior political advisers. Earlier, she met Boris Johnson, who stepped down as prime minister at Balmoral, a palace on the mountains of Scotland, and appointed a new Prime Minister Liz Truss.
