Ottawa: To contain the virus spread and bolster the immunity of the citizens, Canada is to procure 12 million doses of COVID-19 shot adapted to target the Omicron variant from Moderna Inc (MRNA.O).
The company said in a statement that Canada has struck a deal with the firm last year for supply of Covid-19 vaccine for 2022 and 2023 including the access to new vaccine adaptations.
According to the information, Canada and Moderna have a deal to convert 6 million of Covid vaccine doses to target the original virus and an Omicron-containing bivalent vaccine
